Generally referred to simply as "Arnolds" back in the days prior to its demise in 1975.
There were two divisions of the company - one was the manufacturing side, under the "Arnold Engineering & Lifts" banner and the other, "Arnold Elevator Services", carried out the installation, maintenance, repairs and modernisation of elevators (lifts).

VALE - Jim Tankard
I am sorry to report that I received an email from Bob Deahm yesterday (9th. Nov) in which he related that he recently called Jim's home (in Toowoomba) and was advised by Enid Tankard that Jim had succumbed to bowel cancer in July.
